Dear Exhibitor,
The City of Tonawanda Parks & Recreation Department invites you to apply for acceptance in the 26th annual Weekend on the Niagara Arts and Craft Show, held along the Niagara River in Tonawanda. This event is sponsored by the City of Tonawanda Parks & Recreation Department.
Date & Time:
Saturday, June 1st, 10:00am - 5:00pm
Sunday, June 2nd, 10:00am - 5:00pm
Display Space: All spaces will be 12’ x 12’
Fee: $60.00 per exhibit space for both days, $80.00 per space AFTER May 1st, 2024
Exhibitors may apply for more than one space
All fees are non-refundable, unless not accepted into the show
Quality: The show is open to all artists, craftspeople and photographers. No Distributors.
Confirmation: The deadline for applicants is May 17, 2024
You will be notified of acceptance shortly after your application is received
All submissions must meet the following requirements:
1. All work must be handcrafted by the exhibitor.
2. Objects made from commercially sold kits are prohibited.
3. Imported and commercial items are prohibited.
4. Only finished ceramic work is acceptable, no bisque.
5. Sale of food, drinks and candy are prohibited, with the exception of dry goods (muffin mixes, dip mixes, specialty foods, etc.).
6. Buy/sell wholesale is strictly prohibited.
7. Posting of “sale” or reduced merchandise is prohibited.
Awards will be given in different categories; winners will be given an award and one free booth for the 2025 show.
SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO ASK FOR REMOVAL OF MERCHANDISE DEEMED INAPPROPRIATE OR DIFFERENT FROM ITEMS, WHICH HAVE BEEN JURIED.
The craft show will have an independent jury that will screen all applicants. This will enable us to present a quality show with a wide variety of mediums that meet eligibility requirements. Decisions of the jury are final.
Each exhibitor MUST e-mail four (4) current photograph's representative of your work and a photograph of your booth set-up with merchandise displayed. We would encourage pictures of the area where you produce your product, if available. All photographs will be returned the day of the show. When submitting photos, please include your name AND business name associated with your business. E-mail photos to recreation@tonawandacity.com
A New York State tax number is required by all vendors and is to be posted inside each vendor booth. All vendors are responsible for collecting all necessary taxes required by New York State.
Craftspeople agree to remain set-up both days until 5:00pm. Anyone tearing down early will not be invited back.
Security will be provided. Vendors may leave their tents and display up overnight. However, merchandise should be removed.
The craftsperson registering for the Weekend on the Niagara hereby acknowledges that The City of Tonawanda is not responsible for any injury, damage, loss or theft of exhibitor’s items for sale and/or personal property and will hold harmless the City of Tonawanda for any and all injury to exhibitor’s person and for any and all injuries to patrons, invitees, customers or any other individuals caused in any way by the exhibitor’s acts or omissions.
