Let us answer your Kohler Youth Summer Camp questions!

What happens at Kohler Youth Summer Camp on the daily?! Campers craft, play games, sports, get artsy, and swim everyday at Kohler Youth Summer Camp. Tuesday & Thursday mornings every camper receives swim lessons and at least once a week we go on a camp field trip or we have a special event come to us.

How do I sign my camper up? Registration must be done online at www.TonawandaRec.com. You must create a family account if you are a new user to this website.  If you are unable to register online, please call us at 716-695-8658 or e-mail kohlerpool@tonawandacity.com.
Once you have added your camper as a member to your household, add selected weeks to your cart. The website will also prompt you to complete a Health Form prior to processing registration. Immunization records and proof of yearly physical is also required prior to the start of camp. These forms can be faxed (716) 743-8865 or scanned and emailed to kohlerpool@tonawandacity.com or mailed/dropped off to 291 Kohler Street, Tonawanda.

How do I make a payment? Payments can be made online through www.TonawandaRec.com with a bank card/credit card with a 3% surcharge. You can also mail a check payable to “City of Tonawanda” or drop off payment to 291 Kohler Street, Tonawanda, Monday-Friday, 12:30-3:30pm. Camp weeks will not be held until 1 full week/camper has been paid for in full. Once the initial payment has been received, the remaining weeks will be held for your camper until the payment due date. Camp payments are due 1 month prior to camp week. If camp payment is not received by due date, your camper may lose their spot in unpaid weeks of camp. You will also receive e-mail notifications indicated due payment.
Every camper must also have a valid recreation pass that can be used to access Kohler Pool outside of camp times.

We had a change to our family calendar, can we cancel a week of camp and receive a refund? If your plans have changed and your camper is no longer attending camp for a registered week, please ensure that our office is notified 2 full weeks in advance. This is to ensure we can issue you a refund without making an additional payment to our field trip destination for our missing camper.
We also ask that you let a counselor know if your camper will be missing a day within a registered camp week.

Does your camp include lunch? We do not provide any meals to campers. There may be an occasional field trip that includes tummy yummies. We will notify your family of these occurrences. Please send your camper to Kohler with a lunch and 2 snacks daily. We will not be able to refrigerate or microwave any food. Each camper will have a locker or a designated location to keep their food and camp gear in.

What does my camper need to bring to Kohler each day? Backpack, 2 snacks, lunch, water bottle, labeled sunscreen (to keep at camp), closed toe shoes, swim gear, and a towel.

Your camp INCLUDES field trips!? YUP! We explore a new place, once, sometimes twice a week! Specific details for each field trip are sent out in advance so families know what is needed to our adventures.

What are your field trip destinations? They are in the works, check our website and our Facebook page; “City of Tonawanda Recreation” for summer camp field trip updates. E-mails, with specific information about each field trip, will also be sent out to families that have registered.

*If your camper is going to be dropped off or pick-up outside of camp hours, 9:00am—4:30pm, it is the parent/guardian’s responsibility to get their camper camp ready or home ready. Our Counselors need to stay within a 1:6 - 1:10 Counselor:Camper ratio depending on the activity during 9:00am - 4:30pm regular camp hours.

* Adjustments and discounts will be applied during checkout if applicable. *
